CEIT Metaverse Internship Program: Blender & Unity

CEIT Internship Workshop

Here is a look back at the atmosphere and key activities from the CEIT Metaverse and Game Internship Program held over two intense weekend sessions—May (23–24) and (30–31), 2026. Across these two weeks, our interns gained hands-on experience mastering 3D asset creation and interactive spatial environments using Blender and Unity.

Week 1: May 23–24, 2026

3D Modeling & Asset Optimization in Blender

During the first weekend, interns dove deep into Blender to design low-poly and high-fidelity 3D assets. The focus was on mastering modeling techniques, UV unwrapping, texturing, and optimizing mesh polycounts to ensure seamless real-time rendering in game engines.

Week 2: May 30–31, 2026

Unity Integration & Interactive Metaverse Mechanics

In the second phase, interns imported their custom 3D models into Unity. They configured C# interactivity scripts, lighting, colliders, and character controllers to build immersive virtual spaces and interactive mechanics suited for modern metaverse applications.

By connecting creative 3D design in Blender with real-time interactivity in Unity, the interns successfully built complete interactive scenes, preparing them for future projects in game development and virtual reality ecosystems.
